STCW requires all seafaring staff on board gas tankers who are involved with cargo operations, to be certified for advanced gas skills.
This course is a training programme for safety and operations on liquefied gas tankers, including the properties of gases and types of gas carriers, operational practices and obligations under applicable laws and regulations, fire safety measures and systems and pollution prevention and control.
